Young Dons Miss Chances
This setback [against Hamilton] followed a 1-1 draw with Hibs at Easter Road when, after Alan Selbie had set up a 1-0 lead, several chances went begging. Both Brian Irvine and Malcolm Thomson ought to have got goals along with the strikers Paul Wright and Ian Porteous.
"We could have had six more goals from headers alone," said Scott. "We had them in trouble defensively with our high crosses into their goalmouth but we did not make use of the advantages."
Eventually the lead was frittered away when Scott Harvie conceded a penalty for Hibs' equaliser.
