Aberdeen Reserves Crash Out Of Cup

I am writing this report in the bus travelling back to Aberdeen after our defeat by Celtic Reserves in the second leg of the Reserve League Cup quarter-final. We went out on aggregate of 5 goals to 3. Let me start by saying that Celtic deserved to win. They were the better team on the night. It was probably our worst display of the season and certainly our heaviest defeat so far. We started off too casually and never got into top gear. Our approach to the game was all wrong. Perhaps having a three goal lead from the 1st leg was a bad thing as we were quite content to let Celtic take the game to us and we certainly paid the penalty. Now we must put it all behind us and work hard to take some¬thing out of what is left of our remaining games, starting with a win against Kilmarnock Reserves at Pittodrie on Saturday.
