Easy For Reserves

On Tuesday night we played our first Angus League game at Pittodrie against Brechin City Reserves, and ran out winners by three goals to nil, our scorers being Alan Oliver, Tommy Maguire and Steve Morrison. We fielded a young team, and it gave the Manager and coaching staff great satisfaction to see the young lads playing good football, and creating a lot of scoring chances.
Steve Ritchie played his first game after injury and showed that he is on the road to challenge for a first team place. Andy Watson playing at right back for the first time gave a good display, and was replaced in the last fifteen minutes to give 'S' signing, young George Middleton a run at senior level. The boy did not get a lot to do, but he showed a good turn of speed and his use of the ball was very good. All the lads played very well, with John Hewitt, Neil Simpson, Steve Morrison, winning applause from the spectators with some clever touches. These Angus League games will be used to give the young lads games and also to try out various moves which we practice in training.
