Wee Dons' Thirty Second Sensation

FIVE points from the last three games have taken the young Dons to the top of the Reserve League, but the big test comes today at Ibrox. Rangers A are a point behind, with a game in hand.
Three weeks ago Morton A were no match for us at Greenock and our eight goals away from home was a record for us in the Reserve League. Neil Cooper and Jim Henry registered their first hat-tricks for the club.

The following week, despite the inclusion of a number of experienced first team men, we dropped a point to Dundee United A at Pittodrie. In fact, it was only in the closing stages that goals from Cooper and Ian Wilson salvaged a point.

In contrast last week we scored in 30 seconds against Motherwell A through John McMaster, and then held on to take both points. John makes a habit of scoring early against Well - he managed it in nine seconds last season! It was our defenders who took the honours. Neil Cooper was back in a defensive role and he subdued Well's Jim McCabe, an experienced forward who has been in Hibs' sights of late. Cooper and Noel Ward were the defensive stalwarts, while big Doug Rougvie acquitted himself well in mid-field after being out of action for a number of weeks with a foot injury.
