Leith Attack Carried No Danger

Aberdeen Reserves' third visit to Edinburgh for "C" Division points was their most profitable. They defeated Leith Athletic to complete a double. Their play, however, was not of the same calibre, otherwise they would have won on merit and not through the squandermania of the Leith forwards.
Ashe, Pacione and McKenzie had many anxious moments, with the centre half's subjection of Broadleat a big factor in thwarting Leith's attack.
Although Aberdeen's front line was not so prominent aas the opposing five they nevertheless equally dangerous and their positional play was more intelligent.
The wings were crafty, with Smith an adept at drawing the defence, and his goal was smartly taken.
Against lanky Pithie, Muir had few chances doe individual breaks-through, but he was on his toes when Pithis, hard pressed, passed back. Muir ran round him ot beat Wallace for possession and bang on the leading goal.
