Point Left At Hampden

Dons Divide With Queen's Park Strollers.

Aberdeen A dropped a point at Hampden, where in an evenly contested Alliance League match they divided two goals with Queen's Park Strollers.
With wind advantage Strollers made the running at the start, and quickly took the lead. Parry running through on his own to beat Blackwell.
Hickie was the outstanding man in the Aberdeen defence, and was responsible for breaking up many of the amateur raids. The Pittodrie attack was by no means idle, and Smith in the home goal was kept busy.
Aberdeen held the advantage, and strove hard for the equaliser, but the interval arrived with the Strollers still leading.
The visitors took the offensive on the resumption, but some time elapsed before David equalised with a splendid left-foot drive.
The game became very rough, and Parry was forced to go off.
Aberdeen had struck their best form, and Smith saved a great shot by Merrie. Blackwell did equally well at the other end when he dealt with a sure counter by Cordiner.
Altogether, however, it was disappointing game.
