With a total of 18 points Aberdeen "A," along with Rangers "A," remain at the head of the Alliance League table. The Pittodrie second eleven scored their ninth successive victory at the expense of Airdrie "A," whom they defeated by three goals to one at Airdrie.
Aberdeen "A" and Rangers are high and dry the top of affairs, three points ahead of their nearest rivals. Hearts "A."
Aberdeen were first to attack, but Airdrie were soon at the other end, where only weakness near goal kept them from taking the lead. The Aberdeen raids were spasmodic, and although having a dangerous appearance, always came to naught owing to the inconsistency of the front line's marksmanship. The Aberdeen defence was by no means brilliant, and shortly before the interval McDonald gave Airdrie the lead. Play swung quickly from end to end on the resumption, but the shooting of both teams was still weak. The Pittodrie side improved, however, and after the home goal had ran several narrow escapes, McFarlane equalised. Feeling crept into the game after this, and the referee had to speak to several of the players. Aberdeen held the advantage, and little was seen of the Airdrie attack. Near the close Polland and McFarlane both found the net.
