Beith 0 - 7 Aberdeen

Aberdeen "A" recorded their biggest victory of the season on Saturday, when the defeated Beith on the latter's ground by 7-0 in an Alliance game. The Pittodrie reserves experienced little difficulty, as the score indicates, in winning. McFarlane 2, Polland 2, Yorston, Wilson, and Donald were the scorers. Polland the new player from Longriggend Rob Roy, gave a fine display, and the Aberdeen directors present lost no time, on their return to Aberdeen, in getting the manager on his track. He was signed on Tuesday morning.

Aberdeen "A" maintained their winning record at Beith on Saturday, when they easily defeated Beith by seven goals to nil. Aberdeen were early dangerous, but Wilson missed a good chance. A misunderstanding in the Beith defence gave Aberdeen a chance, and Poland opened their account. Beith retaliated, but found the visitors' defence sound. Aberdeen had much the better of the exchanges and increased their total through McFarlane. Shortly before the interval Poland brought the Aberdeen total to three. The home defence was weak, and not long after the resumption Wilson beat Crawford a fourth time. Beith once more resumed the offensive, and J. Bell, J. Smith and McGhie all had good efforts. Not to be denied the Pittodrie players quickly transferred play to the other end, where Donald added a fifth goal off a McFarlane cross. Beith rallied towards the end, but their attack was no match for the stout Aberdeen defence. A penalty awarded to Aberdeen was saved by Crawford, but two minutes later Yorston scored. Until the finish the visitors remained on the attack, and their total was brought to seven by McFarlane.
