Aberdeen 'A' Draw

Aberdeen "A" drew (1 goal each) with Falkirk 'A' in an Alliance game at Falkirk. Aberdeen "A" were early on the attack, but finished weakly. On one occasion a header by Newman, who was playing well, struck the crossbar. Cheyne opened the scoring for Aberdeen with a lob which struck the upright, and rebounded into the net. Falkirk "A" attacked after this, but McSevich was never really troubled. Just before the interval Newman almost scored with a great drive. The home side improved this half, and Johnstone scored the equaliser off a cross from Anderson. Aberdeen were mostly on the defensive. A shot by Johnstone came near counting, but McSevich saved cleverly. Play was keen and exciting towards the finish, but was no further scoring.
