Aberdeen 'A' Beaten

Aberdeen A were very unfortunate to surrender both the Scottish Alliance points at Airdrie, where the local A team beat them by 2-0. There was no scoring in the first half, in which both defences were kept busy. Doolan had several fine tries for Aberdeen, but also missed badly on at least two occasions. Near the interval, McCrorie for Airdrieonians struck the crossbar. Early in the second half Aberdeen had the misfortune to lose the services of Brackenridge, who made his debut for the team at outside left. it was after his departure through injury that Airdrie took the lead through McCrorie and before the end the same player netted a second goal. Aberdeen in that period were further handicapped by an injury to Spencer, and considering this put up a good fight.
