Aberdeen 'A' Draw At Ayr

Aberdeen A effected a draw at Ayr, where they divided two goals with the United A team a Scottish Alliance fixture. It was a fast, interesting game throughout, with little between the teams, and the result did justice to both. Early in the game Paton missed easy an easy chance for the home team, and subsequently both goals in turn were visited. McSevich effected a particularly brilliant save at point-blank range from Paton, and Wright cleared excellent shots by Doolan, Forbes, and Carroll. Near the interval, following a fine bit of play by Carroll, Forbes headed a goal for Aberdeen, who led at the interval. For a time after resuming Aberdeen threatened to increase their lead, Carroll and Doolan in particular having fine tries. Towards the close Ayr rallied, and secured the equaliser. Stevenson at right half for Aberdeen A is a junior who was on trial.
