Big Win For Aberdeen Reserves

Aberdeen reserves were in scoring mood at Cowdenbeath, where they beat the local reserves in a Scottish Alliance match by 5 goals to 1. After having the better of the opening exchanges, Aberdeen conceded the first goal, Ferguson beating McSevich with an unsaveable shot. After that the Pittodrie team never looked back. Following a corner kick Cosgrove equalised, and before the interval Forbes put Aberdeen ahead. Love increased the lead early in the second half, and following this Cowdenbeath rallied, and McSevich was kept busy. Latterly Aberdeen took the game in hand, and McLeod and Love brought their total up to five. Owing to the calls of the first team and a heavy injured list Cowdenbeath fielded practically a side of local juniors, who were no match for the better trained Aberdeen eleven, for the winners Ritchie, Cosgrove, McHale. Bruce, McLeod, and Love were outstanding.
