Draw At Fraserburgh

The clash between Fraserburgh and Aberdeen "A" at Bellslea Park on Saturday was one of the hardest and most exciting games seen in that enclosure for a long time. The biggest attendance of the season saw a splendid tussle, in which the homesters had the better of the exchanges. The result was a draw of one goal each but Fraserburgh deserved to win on their merits.
It was rather unfortunate that there should have been differences of opinion about the validity the visitors' goal. It really looked as if the ball did not cross the line, but the referee disregarded all protests and stuck to his guns. In the second half Fraserburgh had much the best of matters, but A. MCRobbie's equaliser did not come until near the finish.
The homesters were in rampant form, the backs being excellent, and John Buchan at centre half distributing play most skilfully. The forwards, with Turner and McRobbie outstanding, were a lively lot. The Aberdeen defence was very strong, Armstrong and McBoyle were a couple of dashing halves, and C. B. Forbes was the pick of a not too convincing attack.
