Stenhousemuir 2 - 1 Aberdeen

Northern League

20/08/1904 | KO:

Northern League Notes

While we would have liked to have seen the Aberdeen A team win, we are by no means dispirited at their defeat by the Stenhousemuir. Rather do we see in it a sign that they are a capable eleven, for to travel to Stenhousemuir and then only to be defeated by 2-1 shows that there is some talent amongst them. We do not look for extraordinary things from the A team at all and, looking at the teams they will have to face, we can hardly expect it. But they will make a good show, and if they don't win every match, it will only he for this reason that they have struck a better team. There is plenty of interest being taken in their doings, and they are assured of a right good royal welcome when they show their faces for the first time this year a Pittodrie.
