Aberdeen 2 - 0 Falkirk

Aberdeen U19s kept up their fine unbeaten run going when they beat Falkirk last Saturday at Balgownie. The win was also revenge over the side that had knocked them out of the SFA Youth Cup early this season - and the last time the Ul9s were beaten.
Despite being without Stirling Smith and Ryan Jack, the young Dons started the game strongly and Rogvi Holm was unlucky when his header hit the bar. The Dons continued to dominate and they had a number of chances, the best of which fell to McRobbie who found himself one on one with the keeper after being put through by Clark. However young Callum put his shot just wide. Aberdeen finally took the lead they deserved after 35 minutes. Clark played the ball out to Crawford who put in a dangerous low cross from the right. Megginson dummied and Clark ran in to score.
At half time Neil Cooper replaced keeper Scott Bain with Ross Gibson, the former Scotland U16 stopper returning after a long injury layoff. Aberdeen confirmed to control the game and Nicky Low was the next to go close with a clever chip which hit the bar. The Dons' second goal came after about 78 minutes. Low was brought down on the edge of the box and McRobbie hit a superb free-kick giving the Falkirk keeper no chance. Late on substitute Stephen O'Donnell could have made it three but missed a good chance.

Neil Cooper spoke to RedWeb and said, "It was another very encouraging performance. It is a very good run we are on and even without two of our more experienced guys, we played very well."
