SPL Reserves

29/08/2006 | KO: 14:00

Two see red as Dons and well share spoils

The Dons second string made it a win and a draw in their first couple of SPL reserve league outings following an entertaining scoreless tussle at Links Park that saw both sides reduced to ten men before the break.

Andrew Considine was first to go, in the 22nd minute, when he was adjudged to have been last man when he brought down Adam Coakley inside the area. It appeared harsh and justice was done when Greg Kelly saved Coakley's subsequent spot kick.

Fourteen minutes later Shaun Fagan was also heading for an early shower after stamping on midfielder Kyle Macaulay. It was end to end stuff in the second half with the best chance falling to Well with five minutes remaining when David Clarkson cut in from the left only to see his well struck effort brilliantly saved by Kelly.

Weather: Dry

N.B. Derek Soutar substituted as a linesman after 20 minutes.
