Young Dons dump Livi

The under 19 team continued their unbeaten run since returning from the winter break with a 2-0 victory over Livingston at Balgownie this afternoon. The team have now had wins against Rangers, Hibs, Livingston and a draw with Partick Thistle.

The Dons took the lead in the 37th minute when John Stewart played the ball in for Andrew Bagshaw to fire home. Livingston had good periods of play especially in the second half and it looked like they might get an equaliser however it was the Dons who got the vital second goal. It came in the 77th minute when John Stewart knocked in from close range after Rory McAllister was denied by the woodwork.

Neil Cooper was delighted after the game and spoke to RedWeb: "We drew 3-3 with Livi earlier in the season and they are currently second in the league so we knew it would be a hard game. I'm really pleased with the way the boys played and we've now closed the gap on them to four points."
