Dons strike back to stay in title race

Defender Andrew Considine was the goal hero at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium tonight, as Sandy Clark's men came from behind to pip Caley and keep their SPL reserve league title hopes alive. Ironically, it was two Aberdeonians who combined to give the home side the interval lead with ex-Don Rory McAllister releasing Liam KEOGH who made no mistake in 22 minutes.

That was how it stood at the break but twelve minutes after the restart, with the visitors adopting a 2-4-4 formation, the Dons levelled when a Richard Foster pass over the top found Darren MACKIE who beat Michael Fraser with a low drive.

With time running out and a share of the spoils looking certain, Aberdeen forced a corner. Chris Maguire found Mackie at the near post and he nodded the ball to CONSIDINE who headed home from close range to seal the points.

The win was vital for the Dons as Celtic kept the pressure on at the top of the league with a 4-2 win over Hearts.
