Dons surrender lead

Aberdeen went two goals up in the first half despite not playing to the best of their ability. The first coming from Stephen Tarditi, who then played a part in setting the ball up for John Stewart to score with a fantastic left foot volley. Dundee United continued to play the better football and got a goal back just before half-time.

In the second half Dundee United got the equaliser and then scored twice more to take a 4-2 lead. Craig Higgins then scored from a corner in the last minute to make the final score 4-3 to United.

Neil Cooper spoke to Redweb after the game: "They played better and created more chances than us. We must hold our hands up as we lost to a better side today."
