Winters Strike No Consolation as Celtic Hit Five

Aberdeen slumped to another heavy defeat at the hands of Celtic in the SPL this season, this time going down 5-1 at Celtic Park.
Surprisingly, there were no real chances in the opening fifteen minutes of the first half. The first chance fell to Mark Burchill in the third minute, but when it looked more likely to score, he hit the side netting.

The opening goal came in the 25th minute when Tommy Johnson found the net. The ball seemed to take an eternity to find the net, but finally it trundled past Leighton and into the net.
Nine minutes later Lubomir Moravcik made it 2-0 when he found the net after Jim Leighton made a mistake, and the ball deflected into the net.
Moravcik grabbed his second with two minutes left of the first half, to make it a first half score of 3-0 to Celtic.

Tommy Johnson increased the score to 4-0 when he scored his second of the match, putting the match beyond any reasonable doubt.
Jim Leighton brought off a superb save to deny Moravcik his hat-trick, as the Dons defence tried to keep the score down.

However it was only a matter of time before the home side grabbed their fifth. Tommy Johnson scored his 3rd of the game to make it 5-0 in the 54th minute.

Robbie Winters scored the Don's first goal against Celtic this season when he pulled one back in the 65th minute.

However, the final score of 5-1 to Celtic means that Celtic have scored 23 goals against the Dons this season, with the Dons scoring 1 in reply.
