Celtic ran out easy winners at Pittodrie, with a five-one victory over Aberdeen, with new boy Mark Viduka hitting a double.

The Dons started well, putting pressure on the Celtic defence, and looking just as good as the Glasgow team. However it was Celtic who took their chances, and Viduka struck after 26 minutes with a header. Andy Dow was on the goalline, but he couldn't keep it out and it was 1-0 to the Bhoys.

Aberdeen continued to battle away, and came close to equalising on a couple of occasions in the first half.

In the second half however, Celtic turned on the style, and it took them just 2 minutes after the restart, to make it 2-0 when Mark Viduka hit his second from a rebound, after Blinker had struck the post.

Larsson continued his brilliant form with a headed goal after finding himself in space to make it 3-0 to the visitors. Paul Hegarty then decided to make a change, and he brought on Alex Notman and Nigel Pepper. It took Pepper just 6 minutes to make his mark, when he was sent off for a wild challenge on Regi Blinker.

Henrik Larrson then scored his 2nd and Celtic's fourth with another header, to put the game beyond Aberdeen's reach.

Robbie Winters then brought the Dons some hope with a wonder goal, running a full 40 yards before brilliantly dispatching the ball past the helpless Celtic keeper. It was a superb solo goal, but with only ten minutes or so remaining, even he knew the game was all but over.
Then with 2 minutes remaing, Craig Burley struck Celtic's fifth goal, to make the final score 5-1 to Celtic.
