Scottish Reserve League Cup Quarter Final First Leg
Aberdeen scorers: Boyd 12.

24/03/1951 | KO: 15:00

ABERDEEN reserves put up a good performance by holding Celtic "A" to a draw in the Reserve League Cup quarter final at Parkhead. With the second game at Piltodrie the young Dons appear well set to reach the semi-final.
The Aberdeen team, and particularly the defence, played with fine spirit against the wind in the second half. McKenna was in good form at back and the wing half-backs, O'Neill and Bakie, playing a big part in stopping the Celtic attack.
Alan Boyd, who was tried at outside left, put up quite a good show and scored his team?s only goal with his left foot.
