Trialists Impress For Young Dons

IT won't be surprising if Aberdeen show some further interest in the two trialists - centre forward and outside left - who fully pulled their weight in the Pittodrie Second Xl.'s creditable win at Tynecastle.
Both showed promise, with good ball control, intelligent distribution, and a good turn of speed.
The centre had particular reason to feel pleased with himself by securing the game's solitary goal midway through the first half.
In a match where the rival defence were almost equally sound, the young Dons got their attacking inspiration from Hume.

Clever Hume

Right from the start he was meandering cleverly from one side of the field to the other, and the left flank Hearts' defence was never really able to subdue him.
Bruce's handling never gave his colleagues a moment's worry, and Cooper and Massie were a heartbreak to the Edinburgh forwards with their clever interceptions and sound clearing.
Except for one anxious five-minute spell early in the second half, when Hearts failed to press home the advantage against a temporally flustered defence, Aberdeen always had the situation in hand.
