Botha's Four For Reserves

RAY BOTHA was in good form for the Young Dons when they beat Queen of the South "A" 8-2 in a Reserve League game at Pittodrie on Saturday.

The winger's solo dashes brought five goals, four scored by himself and one taken by Waldron.
Aberdeen's goals came from Botha (4), Waldron (2). McVean, Hume. Baker counted twice for Queen of the South.
Botha missed a chance of making his total five when 'keeper Henderson blocked his spot kick, awarded when he was brought down.
Watson had a good day in goal. McDonald, the former Blantyre Celtic player, showed well, and Preston shared honours in his duels with Hope.
The half-backs put in plenty of forcing work, especially in the second half. McKenzie, the pivot, was outstanding.
All the forwards played well, with Miller and Botha always prominent. In the first half, however, chances were frittered away after good approach play.
Despite their heavy defeat, Queen of the South were always dangerous in attack and never gave up.
