Five Goals For Reserves At Pittodrie

ABERDEEN'S reserve side continues to score freely and there was no doubting their superiority in the Reserve League Cup game against Queen of the South at Pittodrie. Mainspring of the home team was inside-left Hume, whose intelligent leading-out play gave his colleagues innumerable opportunities.
Walker and Spalding took full toll and before half-time both had found the net twice. Cruickshank made it five soon after half-time. Towards the end there was some slackening off on the part of the homesters, and Houliston took advantage to beat Watson twice from close in, the Young Dons winning 5-2.
Aberdeen's best were Watson, Clark, Merchant, Cruickshank, Hume and Spalding.
