Dundee 0 - 2 Aberdeen

HT Score: Dundee 0 - 1 Aberdeen

SPL Under 21
Aberdeen scorers: Mayer 12, Stavrum 58.

16/10/2000 | KO: 19:00

A strong visitors' line up took only twelve minutes to break the deadlock when Andreas Mayer skipped past two defenders before crashing a powerful drive past keeper Jamie Langfield.
The Dons were forced to make a change just after half an hour when Kevin Rutkiewicz received a head injury which caused him to be detained overnight in nearby Ninewells Hospital with concussion. Russell Duncan came on in his place.
The second goal came from comeback striker Arild Stavrum who had come on at half-time in place of Andy Dow. The Norwegian had been on the park less than fifteen minutes when he found the net and later scored a second time only for his effort ruled out for offside.
Aberdeen featured a couple of trialists in their line up with Kello Rovers' Martyn Campbell, and Lochee Hap's Barry McNaughton, elder brother of Kevin, both playing the full ninety minutes.
