Young Dons Take Full Points

Worthy Winners at Easter Road

Aberdeen "A." collected full Alliance points when they met Hibernian 'A" at Easter Road on Saturday. The Young Dons were the superior lot and were worthy winners.

Hibernian made immediate tracks for the Young Dons' goal, and a well-placed shot by Gardiner was turned past the post.
Warnock then broke away, but "Newman" blocked the winger's shot. Warnock fastened on again, but his parting effort went wide.
Scott gave Aberdeen a well-deserved lead, the centre netting well out of Culley's reach. This livened up matters, and the Young Dons went further ahead when Ritchie Smith sent the ball into an empty goal.
The game became somewhat listless after the interval, with Aberdeen showing little more enterprise than their opponents. The Easter Road attack lacked the necessary punch, and despite forcing two corners in quick succession, nothing resulted.
Temple and Urquhart put up a stout defence, and little went past them.
Just before the end Scott nearly put Aberdeen further ahead when he barged in between the backs, but his parting effort soared over the bar.
