Aberdeen 'A' Should Have Won

Unfortunate in Encounter with St. Johnstone "A."

Aberdeen "A" were unfortunate not to take full Alliance League points from their game with St. Johnstone "A" at Pittodrie.

The Saints' goal ran many narrow escapes in both halves. Their 'keeper, Smith, formerly of Inverness Citadel, performed wonders, but luck was with him.
Priestley gave Saints an early lead, which they held until nine minutes after the re-start. Then Adam equalised with a lovely shot. Soon after Westland scored another, and the homesters seemed well set for victory.
But a sudden Saints' thrust saw Caskie level the scores. Try as they might the home side could not again creep ahead. Saints were plucky, but they were also lucky.

Defence's Easy Time.

Aberdeen's defence had an easy time compared with Saints' rearguard. The home midline blended well. Ritchie and Gavin were ever prominent. Adam gave a bright display at centre, and Conwell sparkled at inside right. Love was the most dangerous winger afield.
Saints had a stout defence, with Clark a stumbling block at left back. Their mid-line was not so steady. Tennant, Priestley, and Caskie were their most dangerous forwards.
