Fine Exhibition By Young Dons

Keith Give Good Account of Themselves.

A fine exhibition of football was given by Aberdeen "A" at Kynoch Park, Keith, last night, when they met a representative team in a benefit match for James Cowie, Keith. Peter Craigmyle, Aberdeen, had charge of the game.

Aberdeen delighted the crowd with their fine positional play, and gave the home backs plenty to do. The game was not many minutes old when the visiting left wing walked round the home defence for Spittal to open the scoring with a good drive.
Keith were giving a good account of themselves and Westland had to look lively to save from Oliphant and Gill. A corner for the homesters was cleared, then Aberdeen went further ahead through Adam. The Dons were not exerting themselves, being content to give a display of combination and positional play, but the homesters were all out, and got their reward when Gill reduced the leeway.
The second half was on the same lines as the first, and was not many minutes old when Devers put the Dons further ahead. Keith had some good tries, Jim Cowie being specially prominent, but they were all brought to naught by the Aberdeen rear pair.
The Aberdeen forwards were not given so much scope in this half, and were presented with fewer opportunities of testing Muldownie.
Keith were best served through their half line, and Cowie and McMillan were the pick of the forwards. Aberdeen over all were good.
