Young Dons Sparkle

Well Deserved Victory Over Rangers A.

Aberdeen "A" were in no way flattered by the margin of their clean-cut Alliance League victory over Rangers "A" at Pittodrie.

On the run of play the homesters should have led by more than a single goal at the interval. Following a Rangers' revival on the resumption during which they drew level for a brief space the Young Dons again took command and finished up in rampant fashion.
Donald had a big say in Aberdeen's opening goal. He drove in a terrific shot from close range, and the ball sped into the net off Armstrong's head. A minute after McAulay had equalised, the home centre again gave his the side the lead with the best shot of the match. A scrambled goal by Robertson and a brilliant header by Westland completed the Young Dons' triumph.

Not a Weakling.

Aberdeen "A" have not played better this season. There was not a weakling in defence or at half-back, and in a thrustful attack Armstrong and Robertson were ever conspicuous.
Jenkins in goal was a hero in the visitors defence. J. Russell was their best half-back and "Sandy" Archibald and McAulay the pick of a forward line which did not make the most of the chances that came their way.
