The Young Dons, with the advantage of the wind in the first half, pressed strongly for some time, but Dougal distinguished himself in the Bo'ness goal. The homesters then had a turn in attack, and Bridges was prominent with some clever runs on the left. Aberdeen A were not to be denied, however, and they came away strongly near the interval, Armstrong scoring two quick goals After the resumption the Dons defended strongly against the wind. When the home forwards did get within shooting range they found Cumming simply unbeatable, and he effected some masterly saves. Bo'ness continued do the attacking, and Bridges got a long overdue goal after twenty-five minutes' play.
