'A' Team Win Again

. St Mirren "A" the Latest Victims. ,/p> berdeen "A" continued their winning way at Pittodrie, where their latest victims, St Mirren, suffered a three goals to one reverse. Seven thousand spectators saw a good game spoiled by the underfoot conditions. The home team, who thoroughly deserved their victory, were best served the rear trio, McHale, and David. Most prominent for Mirren were Arnott, McDougal, Rorrison, and Dwyer.
A dangerous move by Merrie and Falloon resulted in Donald twice sending narrowly past. In a St Mirren attack an adroitly placed free kick by Rorrison had the home defence in difficulties, but the ball was scrambled away. Shortly afterwards Cooper let Dwyer through, and Blackwell did well to punch clear the winger's shot. For a short period Saints had the better of the exchanges, but their forwards were not allowed to get to close quarters. In a determined Aberdeen attack Jackson was pulled up for off-side, and a shot by Merrie was blocked. The home centre-forward missed a chance, but quickly atoned giving McIntyre a smart effort to hold. Aberdeen's pressure was bound to be rewarded, and it came as no surprise when David netted in fine style. Until the interval the home team had the better of matters.

Successful Change.

A change in the home, attack in the second period quickly met with success, David scoring from a Jackson lob. St Mirren retaliated, and Blackwell saved from Rorrison. At the other end Merrie missed a chance, and Mclntyre saved from David. The same player missed immediately after, and Falloon shot over. With twenty-five minutes gone, Rorrison, the Saints' leader, broke through the home defence, and stalled off Legge to score a brilliant goal. Exchanges were of a very keen nature after this, but Aberdeen were always a more dangerous combination. Merrie increased Aberdeen's total to three with a splendidly taken goal near the close.
