Fraserburgh's Plucky Fight Against Aberdeen

Fraserburgh's largest crowd of the season at Bellsleas Park last night saw the home team beaten by a strong Aberdeen teem in an Aberdeen and District League match by six goals to three. The players put up a spirited fight against their more experienced opponents, whose forward play was much admired. Fraserburgh made a promising start, and after clever play McCann gave them the lead, and Davidson headed a second goal. Subsequently Aberdeen applied pressure and Cheyne scored, to be followed by the equaliser from Merrie before the interval.
Early in the second half Davidson again put Fraserburgh ahead, but Cheyne equalised. Afterwards Aberdeen had the better of the exchanges. Merrie gave them the lead, for Wilson to add other two goals before the close.
