Aberdeen 'A' Drubbed

In a Scottish Alliance match at Tynecastle Park, Edinburgh, Aberdeen reserves were beaten by Hearts' reserves by 5 goals 1. Hearts adapted better to the hard ground, and the Aberdeen goal was besieged in the early stages. Gibson gave the home team the lean in seven minutes, and J. C. Johnstone quickly added a second. The game became very one-sided for a time, and Marshall hit the cross bar. Towards the interval Aberdeen improved, but they failed badly in front of goal, Doolan missing one glaring chance. In the second half White put Hearts further ahead, but McLeod, who was Aberdeen's best forward, counted for the visitors. Hearts were much superior afterwards, and Gibson and Marshall brought their total to five.
