Aberdeen 'A' Champions

By defeating Caledonian at Saturday by one goal to nothing, Aberdeen ' A annexed the Highland League championship. In the course of the first half, Bowie, centre-forward, obtained the all-important goal. It was a well-contested game, with Aberdeen generally on top, but both defences were severely tried. The attackers on each side had chances, but the finishing was either weak or wild. Caledonian, who were without Brewster had more than one chance to equalise, but over-eagerness spoilt their efforts. Aberdeen, too, might have increased their lead had Bowie and his colleagues steadied themselves. Best for Aberdeen were Cunningham, Ritchie, Davidson. Moore, Paton, Forbes, and Grant. For Caledonian ? McRae, Mitchell, Blythe, McGregor, and Cunningham were most successful.
