Juniors Lose At Pittodrie

In a match on behalf of the Russell Testimonial Fund at Pittodrie last night, a team from the Aberdeen Club defeated a select 11 from the Aberdeenshire Junior Association by 4 goals to 2. The game throughout was well contested, and both sets of defences were well tried. On the whole the advantage lay with the seniors, although the juniors came away strongly in the closing stages, but were not too effective at close range. McCombie had two goals for the winners, and the other points but obtained by Connon and Morris, the scorers for the juniors being Gauld and Robb. On the Aberdeen side Sutherland, Keith, Lees, Connon, McCombie, and Alexander were best, and outstanding for the juniors were:, Armstrong, McBoyle, Robb, Gordon, and Paton.
