Teams representative of the Aberdeen Football Club and the 157th brigade RFA ("Taggart's Own"), met at Pittodrie last night before a meagre attendance, a keenly contested game ending in a victory for Aberdeen by 4 goals to 1. Amongst those who witnessed the game were Lord Provost Sir James Taggart, and Major Richardson, M.C., the commanding officer of the brigade.
Aberdeen held the upper hand throughout, but the artillery men showed great plunk and hotly contested the game. Connon scored for Aberdeen in the first half, and in the second he increased his side's lead. Smith scored for the artillery, but Scorgie added two goals for the ground team, who won in easy fashion. In the first period Wright, the right half-back of the artillery, injured his knee and retired for the remainder of the game.
