ABERDEEN have unearthed another promising half-back in Hugh Murphy, Blairhall Juniors, who was provisionally signed after a trial against Railn Rovers ’’A” at Pittodrie.
A first-season junior, Murphy had a juvenile international cap against Wales. He is nineteen years old, 5 ft 7 1/2 in height and weighs lO.5 st.
Two of the young Dons’ forwads did well in new berths against the Kirkcaldy colts. Ian McNeill had a good game at centre-forward and got two goals.
Dougie Newlands. normally a right winger was equally at home in the inside berth and played well against Joe McLaughlin, former Aberdeen half-back.
