Bon Accord v Aberdeen A

These teams met at Pittodrie Park, Aberdeen, yesterday, in a Fleming Charity Shield fixture. The teams were as follows:-

Aberdeen A: Willox; Murray, Brebner; Low, Thompson, Robertson; Knowles, Cruikshank, Kirby, Shiach, Jaffrey.
Bon-Accord:Graham; Reid, Lockhart; Bell, Warrander, Hossack; McAulay, Findlay, Gall, Young, Ferris
Referee - Arthur Watt, Aberdeen.

The game had only been on the move for a few minutes when McAulay sent in a stinger, which Willox run out to catch, but Gall caught the ball with his head and made "siccar." Aberdeen, stung by this onslaught, went at it for all they were worth, and soon travelled to the other end of the field. A corner resulted, but nothing came of it. The halves were playing well, but the attacking party were rather out of it - a poor contrast to their play on Monday. Jaffrey forced a corner, and taking the kick sent in a fine shot, but no one was there to land it in the proper place. Number of skirmishes at the Bons' goal-mouth were spoiled by reckless shooting. Two wards the close of the first half the Aberdeen was pressing very hard.

On resuming, the A's looked dangerous, the ball being several times shot past the Bons' citadel. The Aberdeen haze play only 10 men in the second half when to Kirby having met with an accident in the first half. Aberdeen were awarded a penalty for Reid fouling Shiach. Murray took the kick, but shot into Graham's hands. In the course of the game bell was repeatedly warned for his foul play. Two wards the finish of the game a fine run down by the Aberdeen resulted in a scrimmage at the goalmouth. Brebner succeeded in equalising.

The gate amounted to about £20.
