Heart of Midlothian 1 - 0 Aberdeen

Unfortunately this second team game did not attract the same kind of billing as the previous week. Hearts scored in the very first minute and Aberdeen spent the next 89 striving unsuccessfully to get one back and also attempting vainly to put a worthwhile performance together.<.br> The team showed many changes from the one which shone at home in the previous game, with the regulars such as Robert McRobb, Paul Wright, Ian Porteous and Lee Gardner back in the side. Obviously the introduction of young players is a constant spur to those above them and a necessary part of the Pittodrie way of things.
