Aberdeen 0 - 1 Clyde

Scottish Reserve League
Clyde scorers: Buchanan

09/04/1949 | KO: 15:00

Colourless Match

A slip by 'keeper Johnstone let Clyde "A" steal both points against Aberdeen "A" in a Reserve League game at Pittodrie. Clyde "A" won by the only goal of the match.
It was a colourless game with both teams weak in attack.
Aberdeen could have won comfortably, but Gibson and Yorston both let easy chances slip.
Aberdeen's best player was Kenny Thomson, their centre half, who kept a close watch on Buchanan.
When the centre did score it was no fault of Thomson's. Johnstone seemed to have a Bauld shot safely held, but dropped the ball and left Buchanan the task of shooting into an empty goal.
